France telecom is one of the largest telecom companies in Europe. This company comprises of more than 1,80,000 staff and serves around 190 million customers. It is also one of the largest telecom companies in the world. The chief headquarters of France telecom is located at Paris, and the Chief Executive Officer is Stephane Richard. France also has the biggest telecom market followed by Germany and United Kingdom. The French mobile market is ruled by three major operators France telecoms Orange, Vivendi and Vodafone’s SFR and Bouygues telecom.

France telecom and SFR are the tough competitors in the market, with both the companies offering 3G services. The company operates under three sections which include personal communicating service, home based communicating services and enterprise communicating services. The personal service comprises of mobile telecom services which are served in east and central Europe, Africa, middle east and Asia. Home based services are fixed telephony lines and internet service. Enterprise communicating services are services provided to big and small business worldwide. France telecom has many subsidiaries which are operated under Orange telecom.
