Nokia And Sony Ericsson Are The Brands Heavily Opted By Europeans

According to Financial Times report the people in European countries are mobile lovers. They prefer mobile phones on any other electronic gadgets. Europeans are the one who text a lot, and the companies in Europe offer quite cheap data plans. After being in Europe you won’t have to pay for any roaming charges for incoming calls. In the report by Financial Times a youth survey was conducted in UK universities, around 1000 students were part of this survey.

In this survey it was revealed that Nokia was the most preferred brand with around 32% of share followed by Sony Ericsson with a few percent back drop. Blackberry came up with third position in this survey with a less share of 2%. The big surprise in this survey was Blackberry mobile phones, as they emerged very rapidly in this competitive market in a short span of time. Blackberry is gaining popularity worldwide due to its internet flexibility, QWERTY keyboard and  advance apps in it. This survey clearly shows that Nokia is the most popular in European mobile brands.

Nokia has a share of around 51.2% in the entire European market. The market share has decreased by a few percent but still Nokia leads the market. Same is the case with Sony Ericsson as it doesn’t come up with more advance mobile technologies it is lacking there. In last few years Smartphones and iPhones have evolved rapidly and this is the area where Nokia needs to work out. New Nokia N8 phone was released in the fourth quarter of 2010 which comes with Symbian platform and is a touch screen mobile phone with many advance features that includes 12 mega pixel Carl Zeiss camera and full HD ability. Nokia N8 phone was highly demanding after its release, due to its high resolution camera and advance features. It’s the time to see whether Nokia  advances with new technologies and succeeds in getting back its market share in the coming future.
